COACHING PRINCIPLES

Your Best Training is Only as Good as Your Best Assessment.

The general norm is that it takes time for the body to adjust even with new habits and routines in place. It takes 2-4 weeks for neurological change (flexibility/balance/strength) to happen and anywhere from 6-8 weeks for physiological change to happen (body composition). From the beginning we must test to find objective baselines, so we can measure change taking place. Weather its your mental fortitude/energy on the day to day for training, your physical composition on a monthly basis or your movement analysis, we always need to retest, to find measurable results.

Specific Adaptations on Imposed Demands.

As you work through a fitness journey there should always be new goals being set. In order to maximize training results we must identify your biggest goals and set SMART goals. On the strength and conditioning spectrum, certain reps/sets equate to hitting certain facets of conditioning. Breaking down someone's needs after assessment is important so that there is a clear game plan of addressing the most important things first, which will make the following navigation of achieving others more efficient.

"Build Functional Independence"

Depending on how active your lifestyle is and the things your doing, it is important to address any repetition taking place and alleviate your movement. Weather you’re training to be an athlete, are post-rehab or an aging adult, we all have to move through our day to day. While finding baselines of movement and working towards specific goals, we always want to keep in mind recovery and a good "work-life" balance. From the work place to leisure activities, your fitness routine must have a balance as well.

TRAINING + CONSULTING SERVICES

The biggest thing when first working with clients is a discussion about goals. Most avenues towards success starts with an initial assessment. “Your best training is only as good as your best assessment”. In the beginning we identify your “why’s”. Fitness calls for re-evaluation every 6-8 weeks, sometimes weekly/daily even. It all depends on our initial discussion. This is followed up by a basic 7 move movement screen (FMS).

TPI Golf Fitness Lvl. 1 - TPI Trainers can educate golfers and industry professionals on the Body-Swing Connection™ through its one of a kind ‘TPI Certified’ educational program.

Pro-natal Fitness - This performance training approach helps a client prepare her body to successfully manage the stresses of pregnancy and childbirth, then recover from those stresses most effectively afterward.

TBMM-CES - Corrective Exercise Specialist - Assess clients for musculoskeletal imbalances that can cause muscle dysfunction, joint discomfort and movement limitations. The specialist also learns how to use corrective exercise to remedy those problems simply and effectively.
